Mitsubishi Electric Australia has supplied equipment for transportation applications for over 40 years including more than 2,000 electric passenger cars as well as components for railway substations and diesel electric locomotives. The most recent project is the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) for Transport for New South Wales awarded in 2016 with deliveries commencing in 2020.
