Outdoor Units
PUMY-P112-300Y/VKMD2/YBMD
The CITY MULTI PUMY-P Series multi split system outdoor air conditioning unit connects to a variety of stylish indoor units and features extended pipe runs and high energy efficiency. Designed for lasting operation, the PUMY-P outdoor air conditioning unit offers superior heating and cooling solutions for residential and commercial applications using various indoor unit connections tailored to each space.
Upgrade to the PUMY-P Series heat pump air conditioner
Designed for commercial and large residential applications, the PUMY-P delivers efficient heating and cooling performance through advanced inverter technology. With a high Coefficient of Performance (COP) and Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), this Mitsubishi Electric multi split system air conditioner outdoor unit provides reliable climate control while helping to reduce long-term energy use. As part of the CITY MULTI S-Series, it features a two-pipe refrigerant system that enables smooth changeover between cooling and heating, maintaining a stable performance across all connected indoor units ensuring your system provides year-round comfort.
The PUMY-P provides extensive installation flexibility for a wide range of commercial and residential projects. As a Mitsubishi Electric multi split system air conditioner outdoor unit, it supports long piping distances—making it ideal for installations where the outdoor unit must be located remotely, such as on rooftops or in plant areas. The PUMY-P200 model has a maximum total piping length up to 150 metres, whilst the PUMY-P250 & 300 extends to 240 metres with a BC controller and a whopping 310 metres when exclusively connecting to City Multi indoor heads. To simplify installation, the outdoor unit offers a 4-way piping layout with connection points accessible from the front, back, bottom, or right-hand side, enabling easier horizontal connections and collective layout designs.
The PUMY-P Series supports a wide variety of indoor units from the City Multi, M Series, and Mr Slim ranges by Mitsubishi Electric, allowing system designers to tailor the layout based on room size, application, and aesthetic needs. Compatible indoor unit types include wall mounted, ducted, ceiling cassette, bulkhead and floor-standing models. Depending on the indoor unit selection, connections are made using either standard T-pieces (for City Multi indoor units) or a multi split system branch box (for M Series and Mr Slim units). This setup allows the use of stylish M Series wall mounted units—such as the AP, EF and LN models—where visual design is a priority, alongside highly practical City Multi indoor units in zones that require efficient and concealed air distribution.
With advanced inverter technology, the PUMY-P Series units achieve competitive energy efficiency ratios (EER). These units offer an EER of 4.10 (P250 & P300) and a coefficient of performance (COP) of 5.20 (P250)/5.10 (P300), making them efficient choices for both cooling and heating needs.
Enhancing installation location flexibility, the fan external static pressure of the CITY MULTI PUMY-P Series units can be adjusted up to 30 Pa. This feature allows for installations in areas such as balconies or spaces near louvres that might have been less accessible previously. However, it's worth noting that using this function could lead to an increase in noise levels.
The outdoor unit can now continue operating and deliver cooling at ambient temperature of up to 52°C without any interruptions allowing installation in areas where discharge air may be prone to stagnation.
The twin fan PUMY-P Series has an extended maximum pipe run of 300 m for convenience of unit location, compared to PUMY-SP Series.
Maximum piping lengths for PUMY-P200YKMD is 150 m. For PUMY-P250/300YBM maximum piping lengths without the BC box is 310 m and when using the BC boxes is 240 m
The diameter of the opening for the fan in the outdoor unit has been enlarged from 490 mm to 550 mm.
Up to 9/10/12/30 indoor units can be connected and operated simultaneously, with a selection of different types of indoor units. You can design an air conditioning system to suit many individual applications.
Noise level can be reduced up to 10dB(A). This allows you to operate the unit even in the night in a residential zone. *Capacity reduction differs by mode setting. PAC-SC36NA-E is required to activate Quiet Mode.
An Inverter driven system that is operating at partial load has energy efficiency significantly higher than that of a standard fixed-speed compressor.
This attractive full dot liquid crystal display incorporates a large backlit screen and simple menus for easy operation. You can set up to 8 temperature and airflow patterns per day for seven days. Perfect for the busy home and office or retail store.
Demand Response mode is activated in response to signals sent from the power distributor at times when it is necessary to reduce peak demand.
Unlock the door to smarter heating and cooling systems, for total home comfort. This innovative technology connects your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner to your smartphone, tablet or online account, giving you the freedom to fully control each unit on-the-go via an internet connection from anywhere in the world.
*1 Optional Wi-Fi adapter required per unit. Requires an internet connection and the App downloaded on your smartphone or tablet with the latest operating system available.
*2 To use Amazon Alexa to control your air conditioner you will need an Amazon Alexa Echo device.
*3 To use Google Assistant to control your air conditioner you will need a Google Home Smart speaker.
