HVRF Indoor Units
PFFY-WL20-50VEM-A
The PFFY-WL-VEM-A floor standing exposed unit connects to the Hybrid Branch Controller and uses water as the heat transfer medium, combining stylish design with quiet operation for effective perimeter zone air conditioning. With a slim 217mm depth profile and robust construction, the unit offers versatile installation options, including floor or wall mounting. Operating at noise levels as low as 23dBA (WL20 model), it features convenient built-in housing for the remote controller and flexible water pipe connections from the bottom or rear. Available in clear white and pearl grey finish, it’s ideal for offices, retail spaces, high-end residential properties, and hospitals where ceiling voids are unavailable.
City Multi Hybrid VRF from Mitsubishi Electric combines refrigerant and water-based technology for efficient, reliable climate control. Refrigerant is used between outdoor and branch controller, while water connects branch box to indoor units, offering flexible design, phased scalability, and AS/NZS 5149 compliance for medium to large-scale applications.
Rooms are maintained at an optimal level of dehumidification based on the indoor temperature to prevent over-cooling.
With options for both floor and wall mounting, plus the ability to connect water pipes from either the bottom or rear of the unit, the PFFY-WL-VEM-A adapts to various installation requirements while maintaining interior design aesthetics.
Available in a clear white and pearl grey finish with a compact 217 mm depth profile, the robust construction blends into modern interiors while featuring a convenient built-in compartment for the remote controller.
The DC fan motor and improved heat exchanger design optimise system efficiency for low power consumption and running costs. Three fan speed settings (Low-Mid-High) and a wide airflow range provide customised comfort, while quiet operation as low as 23dBA (WL20 model) ensures minimal disturbance.
Perfect for heritage-listed buildings and applications where ceiling voids are unavailable and wall modifications are not permitted. Water connections and electrical work can run under the floor, eliminating the need for potentially damaging wall penetrations while preserving architectural integrity.
Multiple installation configurations with floor or wall mounting options and water pipes that can be connected from either the bottom or rear of the unit allow for improved adaptation to building layouts.
When fitted with the optional back decoration panel, the unit offers true freestanding capability with installation away from walls. For floor mounting, the supplied legs must be attached to the unit on site, and all piping must be routed under the floor. Refer to the Installation Manual for details.
The unit can be either floor-mounted or wall-mounted, providing installation flexibility. When floor-mounted, it can be positioned directly on the floor or raised slightly using the supplied mounting brackets.
The unit is designed to allow water pipes and electrical connections to run through the floor, making it particularly suitable for heritage buildings where wall penetrations must be minimised.
The unit operates at noise levels as low as 23dBA on low fan speed, making it suitable for noise-sensitive environments such as offices and residential spaces.
The unit features built-in housing for the optional remote controller on the unit chassis, providing convenient access while maintaining a clean aesthetic.
The unit is designed to minimise impact on heritage-listed buildings while delivering modern comfort. By allowing water connections and electrical services to be run under the floor rather than through walls and offering floor-mounting options with no wall penetrations required, the unit helps preserve protected heritage features while maintaining compliance with preservation requirements and building regulations.
The unit can be installed as a freestanding unit away from walls but requires the optional back decoration panel. The supplied legs need to be attached during installation. Refer to the Installation Manual for more details.
The air filter can be easily removed from the front bottom of the unit for regular cleaning. Refer to the Instruction Book for details.
