Mitsubishi Electric introduces the NEW Mr Slim large capacity ducted units in R32 refrigerant. This new 16 kW indoor unit can be connected to a single or three-phase Mr Slim outdoor unit.
The Mr Slim outdoor units feature power inverter technology with superior turndown capacity and long piping lengths up to 75 m for PUZ-ZM160V/YKA. For installations with a pipe length of 50m or less, it is possible to use 7/8” soft-drawn copper pipe for Mr Slim outdoor units PUZ-ZM200/250YKA-A. These two models do not require additional refrigerant charge when the installed pipe length is 50m or less and helps reduce installation cost and time.
With the flexibility of ducted design and 150Pa external static high-pressure are incorporated. The increased variation in airflow options ensures operation that best matches virtually all room layouts.
The fan section is accessible from either the bottom or the top, while the heat exchanger is accessible from the bottom or the side. This helps ease maintenance of the unit where access can be limited.
Unlock the door to smarter heating and cooling systems, for total home comfort. This innovative technology connects your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner to your smartphone, tablet or online account, giving you the freedom to fully control each unit on-the-go via an internet connection from anywhere in the world.

Ducted air conditioning is a type of climate control system that’s commonly used in residential and commercial settings to condition internal spaces through a series of ductwork and diffusers or grilles.
With the air conditioning unit concealed in the ceiling cavity or bulkhead space, it gives the designer flexibility to locate the unit out of view with the freedom to choose the diffusers or grilles to suit the architectural design.
To cool your home, the ducted air conditioning unit draws in warmer air from the room and passes it over an evaporator coil. This coil contains a refrigerant that absorbs heat from the air, causing the air to cool. The cooled and conditioned air is then passed through a series of ductwork and outlet grilles to be distributed throughout the entire home.
To regulate the temperature, the inverter-driven compressor in the ducted air conditioning unit will speed up and slow down as needed to maintain the desired temperature.
Zoning your ducted air conditioning is a great way to ensure that each room in your home stays comfortable all year round. By dividing your home into separate zones (e.g., different rooms or a group of rooms), you can have control over which areas are air conditioned throughout your home. This means that you can turn off a section in your house when it’s not in use, like a bedroom during the day while keeping your home office warm or cool as you work.
There are a few different ways to zone your ducted air conditioning, so be sure to talk to a professional about the best option for your home.
In addition, an optional Wi-Fi adaptor allows you to control the zoned system remotely with Wi-Fi App, Alexa or Google Assistant.
This functionality requires the installation of an additional adaptor MAC-568IF-E Wi-Fi Controller (available from your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner installer). The Wi-Fi Controller app (available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) can be installed on compatible devices.
Just like any other appliance in your home, your ducted air conditioning system needs regular servicing to keep it running smoothly. Most ducted air conditioning units should be serviced at least once a year.
However, if you live in an area with high pollen counts or a lot of dust in the air, you may need to have your system serviced more frequently.
Servicing your ducted air conditioner regularly can help to extend its lifespan and prevent problems such as excessive noise, decreased airflow and leaks.
To ensure that your ducted air conditioner is always operating at peak performance, schedule a servicing appointment with a qualified technician at least once a year.
