Doze off into quiet comfort and enjoy a good night’s sleep, uninterrupted, with the low-contrast Night Mode setting of the MSZ-AP Series. Stay right where you are, remotely select the function and let your air conditioner blend into the background. Fall asleep and stay asleep as it reduces LED brightness, disables alert beep noises and softens the noise level of the outdoor unit by up to 3 dB.

Optional secondary air purifying filter that connects to your air conditioner. The “i-save” Mode is a simplified setting function that recalls the preferred (preset) temperature at the press of a button on the remote controller. The function ensures the most suitable air conditioning settings are used contributes to reduced power consumption.
Anti-corrosion treatment has been applied to the heat exchanger of the outdoor unit. This coating slows the corrosion process of the aluminium fins; this is caused by salt in the air, especially in coastal areas. (Corrosion of the heat exchanger will affect efficiency and performance.)
The high-power motor combines with the “Long” mode to push air out further, helping to provide a more even air conditioned experience in the room. (Models 60/71/80)

A split system air conditioning system consists of an indoor unit and one outdoor unit that is fixed to the exterior of the building. Both units are connected via refrigerant pipes and electrical wiring. When the air conditioning unit is set to Cooling mode, the indoor unit pumps cold air into the room, and the outdoor unit expels the heat that has been drawn in from the inside.
Split system air conditioners are available in several different types included wall mounted, ducted, floor console, bulkhead, and ceiling cassette.
Reverse cycle air conditioners are a type of split system air conditioner in that they consist of an indoor and outdoor unit, but with the added ability to produce both warm air and cool air. Not all split system air conditioners can do this however. The Mitsubishi Electric MSY-GW Series, for example, is specifically designed for cooling only.
A ducted air conditioner is a type of split system air conditioning as ducted systems also comprise of two units𑁋one indoor and one outdoor. The difference is that the indoor unit of a ducted air conditioner is typically concealed within the ceiling. This unit connects to a system of ducts that feed into various rooms of your home, from which cool and warm air can be delivered via vents. With the added ability to turn different rooms or areas on and off independently of one another (via optional zoned air conditioning), Mitsubishi Electric ducted air conditioners are an ideal solution for entire home heating and cooling.
Split system air conditioners work by continuously cycling a gas known as refrigerant between the interior and outside units. As the cool refrigerant is cycled through pipes (or evaporator coils) in the indoor unit, it absorbs the heat from the air that is being sucked in from the room. This air is then fan forced back into the room as cool air. At the same time, the refrigerant that has just absorbed the heat is converted into a hot gas which is then cycled through the outside unit to expel the heat and convert the gas back into a cool liquid. This process then repeats itself. In the case of heating, the same process applies but in reverse order.
Wall mounted split system air conditioners are designed to provide comfort for a single room, and are an effective option for specific rooms such as a bedroom or study, or smaller homes such as studio apartments. Ducted air conditioning systems provide heating and cooling for multiple rooms and are a better solution to cool a whole house.

The cost of split system air conditioning is typically comprised of the price of the actual unit and the installation fee. Depending on the stockist, Mitsubishi Electric split system air conditioners can start at around $1,700 with installation costs starting at $600 depending on the type of unit and the complexity of the installation. Mitsubishi Electric recommends our Specialist Dealers who can provide a quote for the supply and installation and help you find the right air conditioner.
Reverse cycle air conditioners are a type of split system air conditioner that has both heating and cooling capability, allowing them to blow either warm and cool air into a room. However, there are other split system air conditioners that are specifically designed for cooling only.
All MSZ-AP Series Wall Mounted Air Conditioners are equipped with a “Quiet Mode” setting to ensure super quiet operation as low as 18dB*. (*Model 24 in heating mode only). Refer to the noise levels stated in the Specifications of the relevant air conditioning brochure.
The MSZ-AP Series functionality can be expanded to allow you to connect your wall mounted air conditioner to your smartphone, tablet or online account, giving you the freedom to fully control each unit on-the-go via an internet connection from anywhere in the world.
This functionality requires the installation of an additional MAC-568IF-E Wi-Fi Controller for each indoor unit, the Wi-Fi Control App and a Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi Control app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for compatible devices.
A Wi-Fi Control app account is required for this operation and can be created via the app or web browser.
