IT Cooling
MECH-iS-G07
The MECH-iS-G07 chiller range is designed for cooling applications, covering from comfort cooling to process cooling and IT Cooling. Thanks to the capability of producing cold water across a very wide range of outdoor temperatures and with extremely reliable components that can offer 24/7 cooling, it provides an efficient solution for any process application. When used alongside indoor CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, and Hydronic Pant Connect, a patent-pending chilled water system optimiser, the MECH-iS-G07 offers a fully hydronic IT Cooling package for small and medium enterprise data centres, ready to pave the way for the hydronic transition of the sector.
Fully hydronic IT Cooling package for small and medium enterprise data centres
The growth in the number of data centres and enhancement of existing ones means adaptability is an essential requirement for designing a data centre to cope with this continued expansion. Energy efficiency is another key consideration in the design and management of a data centre. Cooling systems must operate 24/7 and ensure the centre's redundancy and reliability. Hydronic Plant Connect (HPC) is the new advanced and fully integrated control function for hydronic plant optimisation. HPC connects MEHITS chillers, indoor CRAH units, FC availability, fans, pumps and valves. The system analyses the operating conditions of the system at all times and regulated the operational parameters so that internal and external units perform at their best.
The MECH-iS-G07 range can operate with outdoor temperatures, from -20°C up to 50°C and delivers chilled water as low as -12°C and up to 24°C, making it suitable for a variety of temperature applications, including Process applications, hotels, offices, hospitals, and data centre facilities.
MECH-iS-G07 combined with w-MEXT creates a complete Mitsubishi Electric System ideal for small and medium data centres. High leaving water temperature up to 24°C. LAN functions with up to 8 units. HPC software for optimising the entire chillers + Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH) systems. Wide option availability is ideal for this kind of application (demand limit, external capacity cap, thermal energy meter).
MECH-iS-G07 performs top-level at partial load conditions, helping individuals and businesses reduce their HVAC system's energy bill. An extremely quiet and compact unit with a large operating map (operating temperature from -20°C to 50°C outdoor temperature), this range offers a plug-and-play solution suitable for any residential or small-medium commercial building.
The large operating range of the cooling only MECH-iS-G07 at low temperatures (down to -12°C leaving water temperature on the evaporator side) and high-quality Mitsubishi Electric components provide a reliable and efficient process cooling system where consistent temperatures and dependable operation are a necessity.
Full accessibility of service points for easier maintenance comes standard, and refrigerant leak detection options are available. Coil protection solutions include epoxy microchannel coils, copper aluminium coils, with pre-painted fins or fin guard silver coated coils.

The MEHP-iS-G07 and MECH-iS-G07 achieve top-level energy efficiencies within a compact footprint. The range comprises of 7 new sizes developed within 3 compact modules to fit any thermal load requirement up to 110kW.
The compact design of this range makes it a high-performance solution in terms of footprint per kW. The reduced width of the units is ideal for multi-unit transportation, with each module only 1.1 m wide across the range.
High values of seasonal efficiency thanks to the modulation of all the electric motors present in the units: compressors, fans and water pump. The unit provides the exact capacity in correspondence with the actual needs of the building: high efficiency translates into reduced energy consumption throughout the unit’s working period.
Units are fitted with acoustic enclosures for compressors and hydronic kits as standard.
R32 enables increased energy efficiency compared to R410A, with just one third of the global warming potential, the risk of environmental harm is greatly reduced.
Unit operation with outdoor air temperature from -20°C up to 40°C in heat pump mode. Production of condenser leaving water temperature from 25°C up to 65°C.
MEHP-iS-G07 can produce, alone and without any auxiliary accessory, both medium temperature water for space heating and cooling, and hot water for domestic use up to 65°C. These key features make MEHP-iS-G07 an interesting alternative for classic gas or fuel oil heating systems.
The packaged monobloc heat pumps are particularly easy to install. The hydraulic components are all contained inside the unit, and the pipe connections are hydraulic, so the typical installation procedures of direct expansion air conditioning systems (vacuum, refrigerant topping up, etc.) are not necessary.
Options include factory installed single or twin in-line pump, low or high head, fixed or variable primary flow (VPF), expansion vessel and buffer tank.
MEHITS proprietary operating logic optimises a chilled water system for data centre applications. It allows communication and synergy in operation between water-cooled indoor units and chiller outdoor units. The patent-pending logic guarantees the optimal functioning of the chillers + CRAHs system, providing safety and reliability for the correct functioning of the servers. The algorithm delivers significant energy savings thanks to the proprietary operating logic that optimises the operation of the entire system.
W3000+ control software includes functions and algorithms specifically developed and suitable for every application, from residential hot water management to zone management to light commercial. Specific control functions have been developed to integrate different energy sources based on availability, performance, and operating costs, always favouring renewable sources.
Load sharing, sequencing, active redundancy, priority of resource activation, and alarm management are only some of the LAN functions that the unit is able to manage when connected to a group of chillers. Dynamic Master logic ensures system stability even in case of alarm or malfunction.
The range features high quality and highly reliable R32 refrigerant-optimised Mitsubishi Electric twin rotary or variable speed scroll compressors (Inverter Driven), high-efficiency EC fans, and an electronic expansion valve. The compressors are soundproofed and installed on rubber anti-vibration mounts.
High-performing EC fans are made of polymeric ultralight material and help improve airflow modulation at partial loads. The fans deliver significant advantages in terms of reducing noise levels by 4-5 dB(A) compared to traditional* solutions and reducing the absorbed power by 25% compared to traditional* solutions. *Traditional is a non-inverter system/fixed speed compressor (EC fans compared to AC fans).
In addition to an onboard interface, KIPLINK is available—an innovative user interface based on Wi-Fi technology that allows users to operate the unit directly from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
KIPLINK can be supplied, either in addition to or instead of the standard user interface.
The unit is equipped with an integrated hydronic module as standard, which includes a variable flow EC motor pump, expansion vessel and flow switch, which provides a plug-and-play installation.
The unit is designed with a holistic HVAC system approach: all components are set in synergy according to a proprietary logic to maximise the efficiency of the unit.
