470L Multi Drawer – Diamond Black

The WX Series is built around a set of purpose-designed compartments, each tuned to a different type of food:

• Refrigerator compartment (asymmetric doors) – The main chilled space sits up top for easy everyday reach. The two doors are deliberately different sizes to limit cold-air loss each time you open them.
• Wide Chilling Case – A sliding case inside the fridge compartment for processed items such as ham, sausages and dairy, held at around 0°C to 3°C.
• Supercool Chilling Case – Just below the Wide Chilling Case, it keeps meat, fish and other perishables at around -3°C to 0°C without freezing them, so they’re ready to cook.
• Ice maker water tank – Tucked into the lower left of the fridge compartment; lift it out, refill and slot it back to keep the automatic ice maker supplied.
• Automatic ice maker drawer – Gives you ice without opening the freezer.
• Supercool Freezing Drawer – Runs two modes, Supercool Freezing and Hot Freezing, to freeze raw and freshly cooked food gently and evenly.
• Freezer drawer – A sliding tray up top handles smaller items and slides aside to open the full space below.
• Vegetable drawer – A top sliding tray organises smaller produce, with generous room beneath for bulkier vegetables.

The Supercool Chilling Case stores perishables like seafood and meat at around -3°C to 0°C — cold enough to keep them fresh, but not cold enough to freeze them. Because the food never freezes, its texture holds up and there’s no defrosting step before cooking. You can switch the function on via the external touch control panel, making it simple to manage as part of your daily routine.

It’s well-suited to it. Holding meat and seafood at roughly -3°C to 0°C, the Supercool Chilling Case keeps portioned proteins, marinated cuts and prepped components fresh through the week without freezing them, so they’re ready to use straight away. The Supercool Freezing Drawer freezes food while holding on to its moisture, texture and flavour, and works in two main modes. Supercool Freezing chills and freezes items evenly, which helps reduce cell damage and preserve freshness. Hot Freezing uses an LED sensor to detect warm food and direct cold airflow straight onto it, bringing the temperature down quickly so you can freeze freshly cooked dishes without waiting for them to cool (below 80°C). A third option, Soft Freezing, keeps food in a softer state for up to three weeks so meat can be sliced without fully thawing. Each mode is set manually.

The ice maker runs from a removable water tank rather than a fixed plumbing connection, so there’s no special installation — just slide the tank out, fill it and put it back. Every part that touches the water is washable, which keeps the system hygienic and the ice clean. Whether it’s a cold glass of water on a hot day or ice for drinks with guests, the fridge keeps a steady supply on hand.

VitaLED is a specialised lighting system fitted to the vegetable drawer on select Mitsubishi Electric models. Rather than simply lighting the space, it’s designed to slow the wilting of fresh produce, helping fruit and vegetables stay crisp and fresh for longer. Regular cleaning keeps the fridge running efficiently and your food fresh. A simple routine:

• Switch off and unplug, move food to a cooler, and take out the drawers, shelves and bins.
• Wipe the interior with warm water and a mild detergent, then rinse and dry. Baking soda helps with stubborn marks.
• Pay attention to specific parts like the ice maker, the vegetable and freezer drawers, and the external touch control panel.
• Wipe the exterior with soapy water and dry with a soft cloth to avoid water marks.
• Clean the coils with a brush or vacuum, then wipe the base and front grille.
• Refit the drawers, shelves and bins, restock (discarding anything past its date) and plug back in.
• Reset the temperature, and check the door seals while you’re there.
• Repeat every two to three months, or as needed.
