two-piece ducted air conditioner

Perfect solution for home renovation

The PEA-M100-140HAA ducted air conditioning system is designed to split into two pieces making it ideal for existing home renovation with restricted roof space and access. The fan section can be separated from the heat exchanger for easier handling of the unit into the roof space before final assembly. With typical Australian house design in mind, the unique flange between the two section allows installation in narrow roof space between roof trusses.

Ducted air conditioning system is an effective and convenient solution, with unobtrusive installation in the ceiling cavity or bulkhead space. The addition of an optional zone controller can allow this whole home application be connected to up to 8 zones to distribute air where it is needed, whilst being hidden from view with subtle diffusers or grilles. Ducted air conditioning allows cool or warm air to flow throughout the home.

2 piece construction

2 piece construction

This ducted fan coil has a two-piece construction, which allows for the separation of the indoor unit heat exchanger and the fan deck assembly. This is beneficial for installation into the roof space, for greater room capacities and increased variation in airflow; ensuring operation that suits most room layouts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Ducted air conditioning is a type of climate control system that’s commonly used in residential and commercial settings to condition internal spaces through a series of ductwork and diffusers or grilles.

With the air conditioning unit concealed in the ceiling cavity or bulkhead space, it gives the designer flexibility to locate the unit out of view with the freedom to choose the diffusers or grilles to suit the architectural design.

To cool your home, the ducted air conditioning unit draws in warmer air from the room and passes it over an evaporator coil. This coil contains a refrigerant that absorbs heat from the air, causing the air to cool. The cooled and conditioned air is then passed through a series of ductwork and outlet grilles to be distributed throughout the entire home.

To regulate the temperature, the inverter-driven compressor in the ducted air conditioning unit will speed up and slow down as needed to maintain the desired temperature.

Zoning your ducted air conditioning is a great way to ensure that each room in your home stays comfortable all year round. By dividing your home into separate zones (e.g., different rooms or a group of rooms), you can have control over which areas are air conditioned throughout your home. This means that you can turn off a section in your house when it’s not in use, like a bedroom during the day while keeping your home office warm or cool as you work.

There are a few different ways to zone your ducted air conditioning, so be sure to talk to a professional about the best option for your home.

In addition, an optional Wi-Fi adaptor allows you to control the zoned system remotely with Wi-Fi App, Alexa or Google Assistant.

This functionality requires the installation of an additional adaptor MAC-568IF-E Wi-Fi Controller (available from your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner installer). The Wi-Fi Controller app (available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) can be installed on compatible devices.

Just like any other appliance in your home, your ducted air conditioning system needs regular servicing to keep it running smoothly. Most ducted air conditioning units should be serviced at least once a year.

However, if you live in an area with high pollen counts or a lot of dust in the air, you may need to have your system serviced more frequently.

Servicing your ducted air conditioner regularly can help to extend its lifespan and prevent problems such as excessive noise, decreased airflow and leaks.

To ensure that your ducted air conditioner is always operating at peak performance, schedule a servicing appointment with a qualified technician at least once a year.
