Wall Mounted Air Conditioners
MSZ-AP25-80VGKD2
Whether you want to feel refreshingly cool or warm and cosy, our MSZ-AP series split system air conditioner is a great cooling and heating solution for single rooms and compact homes.
Set your space to the perfect temperature all year-round

We know that true comfort is just as much about dialing down noise as it is about achieving the perfect temperature. With the added ‘Quiet Mode’ setting, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Sleep, read and relax in peace with the quiet operation of the MSZ-AP Series. Turn the volume that bit lower with the 18 dB whisper of the MSZ-AP25 in heating mode. It’s so quiet, you’ll check to see if it's on. Combined with a natural white finish and streamlined design, this split system series offers a clean, crisp look that blends in seamlessly with your interior décor.

Doze off into quiet comfort and enjoy a good night’s sleep, uninterrupted, with the low-contrast Night Mode setting of the MSZ-AP Series. Stay right where you are, remotely select the function and let your air conditioner blend into the background. Fall asleep and stay asleep as it reduces LED brightness, disables alert beep noises and softens the noise level of the outdoor unit by up to 3 dB.

Spend less time cleaning and more time relaxing with an air conditioner that stays clean longer maximising its performance all year-round. With the Dual Barrier Coating of the MSZ-AP Series, the attachment of dust and greasy dirt, and other airborne contaminants to the inside of the unit is reduced. Better equipped to resist the build up of odour-causing material, the advanced coating technology developed by Mitsubishi Electric of our MSZ-AP split system air conditioners not only keeps our units pristine for longer, but makes cleaning them a breeze.

With the MSZ-AP25, the “Quiet Mode” fan speed setting ensure quiet operation, as low as 18dB(A) on heating mode; it’s so quiet you’ll check to see if it’s on.*
* Tested in an anechoic chamber according to EN 12102-1:2017.
Dual Barrier Coating reduces dust and greasy dirt from collecting in the air conditioner. Dirt is generally classified into two groups: hydrophilic dirt such as fibre dust and sand dust, and hydrophobic dirt such as oil and cigarette smoke.
The Mitsubishi Electric Dual Barrier Coating works as a two-barrier coating with blended “fluorine particles” that reduce hydrophilic dirt penetration and “hydrophilic particles” that reduce hydrophobic dirt from sticking to the air conditioner. This dual barrier coating on the inner surface helps to keep the air conditioner clean year-round, helping with product longevity.*
* Regular maintenance required; please refer to the product's user manual
Night mode is a selectable function via the remote controller that is designed to increase comfort at night. This is achieved by reducing the LED brightness on the indoor unit, disabling the alert beeps and reducing the outdoor units operational noise levels by up to 3dB(A).
Unlock the door to smarter heating and cooling systems, for total home comfort. Connecting your compatible Mitsubishi Electric air conditioner to your smartphone, tablet or online account, gives you the freedom to control each unit on-the-go via an internet connection from anywhere in the world. * Account and Internet Connection Required.* Account and Internet Connection Required.
The optional air purifying filter ‘Plasma Quad Connect’ is suitable for both new and existing installations. The Plasma Quad Connect Filter is a secondary filter connected to your air conditioner.
Plasma Quad technology significantly improves indoor air quality by inhibiting six key indoor pollutants; Influenza virus, bacteria, PM2.5, allergens, mould and dust.*
* Influenza Virus, PM2.5 & Mould: Testing Standard JEM1467:2015, tested on MSZ-AP35VG. Bacteria: Testing Standard JEM1467:2015, tested on MSZ-AP25VG.
Allergens (cat allergen & pollen) & Dust: Testing Standard Elisa Sandwich, tested on filter only.
Optional part: MAC-100FT-E.
The “i-save” Mode is a simplified setting function that recalls the preferred (preset) temperature by pressing a single button on the remote controller. Press the same button twice in repetition to immediately return to the previous temperature setting.
Anti-corrosion treatment has been applied to the heat exchanger of the outdoor unit. This coating inhibits corrosion of the aluminium fins; salt in the air causes this, especially in coastal areas. Corrosion of the heat exchanger will affect the efficiency and performance of the AC.
Use this function to ensure that the airflow circulates to areas far across the room. Press the Long Airflow icon on the remote controller to extend reach up to as far as 12 metres from the unit. (Models 60/71/80)
Large vertical and horizontal vanes provide flexible airflow control, allowing you to direct air where it’s needed most for enhanced comfort throughout the room. Easily adjust these settings at the touch of a button on your remote controller. *2 Excludes MSZ-AP20.
Activate the heating mode to provide a warm and cosy space. Reverse cycle air conditioning can be a relatively efficient and economical way of heating and cooling compared to gas and electric space heaters. Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners are a quiet and clean source of heating for your home.
While the compressor is the heart of the system, the Inverter is the brain of the system. An Inverter receives information from sensors monitoring operating conditions and adjusts the frequency of the compressor to control the refrigerant flow rate thereby consuming less current and power. Mitsubishi Electric Inverters ensures high performance and maximum comfort can be achieved.
The outdoor unit includes a demand response enabling device (DRED), allowing your electricity provider to activate and control the system at 3 preprogrammed modes, in response to signals sent from the electricity provider at times when it is necessary to help reduce peak demand.*
* This requires an additional adapter from your power provider and is installed in accordance with AS/NZS 4755.3.1:2014.

Information about the effectiveness and testing criteria of Mitsubishi Electric split systems filters.
MLZ-KP25-50VG
MSY-GY90VFD2
MSZ-AP20VG(D)-A
A split system air conditioning system consists of an indoor unit and one outdoor unit that is fixed to the exterior of the building. Both units are connected via refrigerant pipes and electrical wiring. When the air conditioning unit is set to Cooling mode, the indoor unit pumps cold air into the room, and the outdoor unit expels the heat that has been drawn in from the inside.
Split system air conditioners are available in several different types included wall mounted, ducted, floor console, bulkhead, and ceiling cassette.
Reverse cycle air conditioners are a type of split system air conditioner in that they consist of an indoor and outdoor unit, but with the added ability to produce both warm air and cool air. Not all split system air conditioners can do this however. The Mitsubishi Electric MSY-GW Series, for example, is specifically designed for cooling only.
A ducted air conditioner is a type of split system air conditioning as ducted systems also comprise of two units𑁋one indoor and one outdoor. The difference is that the indoor unit of a ducted air conditioner is typically concealed within the ceiling. This unit connects to a system of ducts that feed into various rooms of your home, from which cool and warm air can be delivered via vents. With the added ability to turn different rooms or areas on and off independently of one another (via optional zoned air conditioning), Mitsubishi Electric ducted air conditioners are an ideal solution for entire home heating and cooling.
Split system air conditioners work by continuously cycling a gas known as refrigerant between the interior and outside units. As the cool refrigerant is cycled through pipes (or evaporator coils) in the indoor unit, it absorbs the heat from the air that is being sucked in from the room. This air is then fan forced back into the room as cool air. At the same time, the refrigerant that has just absorbed the heat is converted into a hot gas which is then cycled through the outside unit to expel the heat and convert the gas back into a cool liquid. This process then repeats itself. In the case of heating, the same process applies but in reverse order.
Wall mounted split system air conditioners are designed to provide comfort for a single room, and are an effective option for specific rooms such as a bedroom or study, or smaller homes such as studio apartments. Ducted air conditioning systems provide heating and cooling for multiple rooms and are a better solution to cool a whole house.
A specialist air conditioning Dealer can provide advice on how much cooling capacity you need to adequately cool a whole house.
The cost of split system air conditioning is typically comprised of the price of the actual unit and the installation fee. Depending on the stockist, Mitsubishi Electric split system air conditioners can start at around $1,700 with installation costs starting at $600 depending on the type of unit and the complexity of the installation. Mitsubishi Electric recommends our Specialist Dealers who can provide a quote for the supply and installation and help you find the right air conditioner.
Reverse cycle air conditioners are a type of split system air conditioner that has both heating and cooling capability, allowing them to blow either warm and cool air into a room. However, there are other split system air conditioners that are specifically designed for cooling only.
All MSZ-AP Series Wall Mounted Air Conditioners are equipped with a “Quiet Mode” setting to ensure super quiet operation as low as 18dB*. (*Model 24 in heating mode only). Refer to the noise levels stated in the Specifications of the relevant air conditioning brochure.
The MSZ-AP Series functionality can be expanded to allow you to connect your wall mounted air conditioner to your smartphone, tablet or online account, giving you the freedom to fully control each unit on-the-go via an internet connection from anywhere in the world.
This functionality requires the installation of an additional MAC-568IF-E Wi-Fi Controller for each indoor unit, the Wi-Fi Control App and a Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi Control app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for compatible devices.
A Wi-Fi Control app account is required for this operation and can be created via the app or web browser.
