Jet Towel Commercial Hand Dryer
JT-SB216JSH2
The Jet Towel is the World’s first high speed Jet/Vertical type Hand dryer released in 1993. The latest Jet Towel Slim 9th series has been enhanced with vandal-resistant features designed to improve the overall durability of the hand dryer. Hidden switches and buttons have been moved to the inside of the panel to prevent unauthorised operation, whilst the front and back panels have been strengthened to increase body durability.
Fast, hygienic drying for high-traffic washrooms

The Jet Towel Slim directs high-velocity air through a patented wave nozzle to dry hands in 9–11 seconds while reducing turbulence-related noise. In Standard Mode, the published sound levels of the jet towel start from 56 dB, helping designers meet acoustic expectations in hospitality, education and premium office spaces. A wide hand aperture limits accidental contact, while alternate child sensors inside the drying area detect smaller hands from the sides. The result is a slim dryer that balances speed, comfort and control in busy amenities without dominating the room.

A high-precision brushless DC motor, developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric, underpins the Slim’s durability; in-house testing indicates more than seven years of use at 400 cycles per day. Reinforced front and rear panels enhance body strength, and hidden switches are positioned behind the fascia to deter tampering. For safety, the air intake is separated from the discharge nozzles to reduce water ingress, and high-voltage circuit boards are enclosed within a protective metal barrier to contain flames in the unlikely event of a fault.

To help keep floors dry, expelled water is collected in a removable 0.8-litre tank that holds approximately 800 uses before needing to be emptied. Maintenance points are easily accessible, featuring washable air filters and a drain duct designed for quick service. Surfaces incorporate antibacterial resin and are cleanable with a pH neutral detergent, and the model is certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI 169. Together, these details support hygiene programs in venues that prefer touch-free electric hand dryers over paper, without adding complexity to routine checks.
The space to insert hands is a wide 7.7 cm at the narrowest point and 20.8 cm deep. The large drying area makes it easier to dry hands, limiting the risk to touch the unit.
Alternate child sensors are placed inside of the drying area to detect the presence of small hands entering from the sides.
Large 6.8 L drying area.
The patented wave nozzle that delivers the high-velocity airflow has been further improved. The sound produced from turbulence has been further decreased through the development of fluid control technology, achieving a significant 2 dB reduction in noise compared to the previous model.
This high-precision Brushless DC motor is entirely developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric. In-house testing results show a motor life of over seven years of use (400 uses per day).
Reinforced protective panels designed for the front and back make the new Jet Towel Slim more robust and impact resistant.
The air intake is located separately from the output nozzles to reduce the risk of water intake.
High-voltage circuit boards are completely covered by a protective metal enclosure. In the highly unlikely event of a fire occurring, flames are sealed in and cannot spread outside of the barrier.
The Jet Towel does not create any paper waste, eliminating the trouble of waste disposal.
The cost of constantly replacing paper towels each day can be staggering.
Paper Towels need to be constantly refilled and paper garbage removed throughout the day.
NSF International, an independent third-party public safety health and standards organisation, has certified Jet Towels to be compliant in its rigorous requirements (NSF/ANSi 169).
The Plastics used in Jet Towels kerb the growth of bacteria on the surface. The secret is the metal ions added into the resin, which work to inhibit the functions of bacteria and reproductive growth.
0.8 L drain tank keeping floors dry by catching the water blown from the hands. The easily removable drain tank stores up to approximately 800 uses.
Maintenance is a breeze with the easy access of the washable air filters and drain duct.

The Jet Towel hand dryer is engineered specifically for demanding commercial use:
Built for durability – The brushless DC motor delivers exceptional longevity, with in-house testing confirming over seven years of reliable performance at 400 uses per day. Reinforced panels and concealed controls resist vandalism and wear in public restrooms.
Fast and efficient – Hands dry in just 9-11 seconds on High mode with the heater activated, minimizing wait times and keeping lines moving during peak hours.
Quieter operation – Reduced noise levels create a more pleasant experience for users and nearby areas, important for hotels, offices, and retail locations.
High-capacity design – The larger internal cavity accommodates frequent consecutive uses without overheating, ensuring consistent performance throughout busy periods.
Cost-effective – Low power consumption reduces operating costs while maintaining superior drying performance, delivering long-term savings for facility managers.
The unit features antibacterial resin surfaces, NSF/ANSI 169 certification. A 0.8 litre drain tank captures water blown from hands to help keep floors dry, and the filters are washable.
The hand aperture is wide and deep for comfortable use, and alternate child sensors inside the drying area detect smaller hands entering from the sides. Find out more in our Hand Dryer Buying Guide.
