Mitsubishi Electric has been supplying gas insulated switchgear (GIS) and gas circuit breakers (GCB) since the early 1970s. This equipment includes dead tank and live tank GCBs and covers the voltage range from 36kV to 1000kV. We are one of the few manufacturers in the world able to manufacture gas insulated transformers (GIT) which have safety and environmental advantages over oil filled transformers.
In Australia, we have supplied many of the major utilities and have proven our ability to meet Australian Standards and the requirements of the local operating environment. Our long-term customers include Powerlink (Queensland), SP AusNet (Victoria), AusGrid (NSW), Energex (Queensland) and TasNetworks (Tasmania).
