City Multi Hybrid VRF
PURY-M(MP)-YNW-A1(-BS)
The Hybrid VRF is part of the CITY MULTI product range, which consists of VRF air conditioning units designed for medium—to large-scale applications. These units use refrigerant between the outdoor unit and the branch controller and water between the branch box and the indoor units. Efficiency and reliability are at the core of Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid VRF systems.
Mitsubishi Electric introduced the World’s first 2-pipe heat recovery system, reducing piping and connections compared with 3-pipe systems.
The Hybrid CITY MULTI is the industry’s first system which uses refrigerant between the outdoor unit and the HBC (Hybrid Branch Controller), and water between the HBC and the indoor units. The HBC is the most unique part in this system and allows heat exchange between refrigerant and water.
With the City Multi HVRF two-pipe system, we have drastically reduced the number of piping connections compared to a standard VRF three-pipe system. A smaller number of piping connections improves reliability and simplifies piping installation.
HVRF is a 2-pipe system requiring less piping compared to a 4-pipe system. It also requires fewer key components to be installed because components such as the pumps, heat exchanger, and valves are incorporated in the Hydro Branch Controller (HBC).
Achieved by a water system between the HBC and the indoor units, the water temperature is generally very stable all year round. The Hybrid CITY MULTI will supply milder off-coil temperatures.
Provides air conditioning corresponding to various needs. With the 2-pipe system, the direction of refrigerant flow will not reverse when the main mode changes. The compressor does not need to stop when the mode changes. This allows comfortable air conditioning during mild ambient conditions.
The new City Multi YNW system maximises the space available for plant by reducing the area required for outdoor units thanks to the advanced wrap around heat exchanger
The static pressure of the outdoor unit fan can be set between 0-30-60 and 80 Pa allowing the unit to be installed even in positions that require a ducting of the air expelled from the fan. There is no drop in capacity when 80 Pa External Static Pressure option is enabled.
R32 enables increased energy efficiency compared to R410A, with just one third of the global warming potential, the risk of environmental harm is greatly reduced.
Depending on the equipment selection and installation conditions some outdoor units can operate with vertical height difference of up to 90 metres between the outdoor unit and indoor units without requiring any optional kits. This allows for further simplicity and flexibility when designing for taller buildings.
City Multi YNW range offers reduced sound power levels, thanks to an improved compressor and fan design.
Offering complete flexibility to cope with different noise criteria for multiple applications, City Multi YNW offer 5 different incremental settings to vary noise output by limiting compressor frequency and condenser fan speed. These settings are directly configurable from the control board of the outdoor unit (optional PAC-SC36NA adapter required).
The outdoor unit can now continue operating and deliver cooling at ambient temperature of up to 52°C without any interruptions allowing installation in areas where discharge air may be prone to stagnation.
