Climaveneta Chillers
Dedicated to all kinds of applications, from comfort to process and IT Cooling, this range of chillers utilises the cold outdoor air for cooling the indoor environment, fully harnessing the saving potential contained in this precious renewable source. Thanks to special heat exchangers featuring a large surface area together with advanced logic for free-cooling management, the load of the compressors is reduced to zero. And this already occurs at positive outdoor temperatures.
Dedicated to all kinds of applications, from comfort to process and IT Cooling, this range of chillers uses cold outdoor air to cool the indoor environment, fully harnessing the saving potential contained in this precious renewable source.
Climaveneta and RC chillers feature a smartly managed free-cooling system aimed at achieving the chiller's best performance in any condition. Accordingly, to the outdoor air conditions and operating water temperature, the chiller automatically switches between total free-cooling, hybrid free-cooling and mechanical cooling modes. As the outdoor air temperature drops 1 degree below the returning water temperature, the unit starts to use outdoor air to cool water (hybrid free-cooling), partially benefitting from the free-cooling effect. The free-cooling capacity grows with lower air temperature until it covers the entire cooling demand, and the compressors are completely switched off (total free-cooling), thus achieving incredibly high operating efficiency (EER values around 220).
Climaveneta and RC free-cooling chillers are available with the innovative R513A gas, which represents a low-GWP alternative to R134a units. It features low GWP values.
Combining a reduced refrigerant charge with a low GWP refrigerant, these units boast the lowest amount of CO2eq in the scroll unit market, making them the perfect choice for any new future-proofing installations.
Customers can select among three compressor technologies according to their target and the requirements of the HVAC plant.
The free-cooling chillers are available with scroll, screw and oil-free compressors optimised for a variety of refrigerants, from medium-low GWP to almost 0 GWP gases.
We offer a complete selection to provide customers with a complete offering according to their specific installation and cost requirements.
The evaporative free-cooling technology extends the free-cooling benefits towards higher outdoor temperatures.
Thanks to the adoption of specifically designed free-cooling pads, evaporative cooling lowers the outdoor air temperature before it reaches the free-cooling coils, thus making free-cooling possible even in climatic conditions that normally won't permit it.
