At its core are powerful AE-C400E centralised controllers that provide scalable, integrated control of multiple systems and sites, supporting smarter building operation, improved energy visibility, and streamlined facility management from a single platform.
A durable 12.1" capacitive glass touchscreen with fast multi-touch response delivers a clear, easy-to-read display and intuitive navigation, allowing users to quickly access system information and manage unit-level operation efficiently, simplifying day-to-day building management.
In addition to an annual schedule, five patterns of weekly schedules can be set per season, specifying start and stop times, temperature, and airflow direction and speed for each schedule.
The AE-C400E incorporates a powerful scheduling engine designed to automate HVAC operation across commercial buildings. Daily, weekly and annual holiday schedules can be configured to match occupancy patterns, enabling automatic weekday operation, weekend shutdowns, and holiday overrides.
The AE-C400E features a built-in web server that enables secure monitoring and control through a standard web browser*1 on PCs, tablets, or smartphones. This allows facility teams to access system status, review alarms, and adjust settings remotely without the need for specialised software. *1 For Windows, Microsoft® Edge or Google Chrome is required. Manage up to 50 indoor units or scale up to 400 with an expansion module (EW-C50E), allowing a flexible and modular solutions for a large range of building sizes.
The AE-C400E provides built-in energy monitoring capabilities, allowing operators to review system operating time, estimated energy consumption and energy allocation across zones. When used with optional metering inputs, the system can support tenant billing*3, zone-based energy allocation, and detailed energy reporting. *2 Electric input via additional adapters required for function. *3 Charge license PIN required to activate function.

The AE-C400E supports BACnet® integration, enabling seamless communication with building management systems and allowing the HVAC network to operate as a fully integrated subsystem within a wider building automation platform. Key data points such as start/stop commands, operating mode, temperature, alarm status, and energy information can be monitored and controlled directly through the BMS interface. *5 BACNet license PIN required to activate function.
The AE-C400E incorporates a range of intelligent energy management functions designed to optimise HVAC operation in commercial buildings. Advanced scheduling ensures systems operate only during occupied periods, while features such as optimised start and night setback maintain comfort while minimising unnecessary runtime. The system also includes energy-saving control, which adjusts operation across connected units to improve overall efficiency and peak cut control*4, which limits system demand during periods of high electrical load to help manage peak energy usage.
Continuously monitors connected HVAC equipment and provides clear alerts for system faults, communication issues, filter maintenance requirements, and equipment errors. Maintenance teams can quickly identify which unit is affected, view the specific error code, and see when the fault occurred.
