Mitsubishi Electric increases warranty on Projectors and LCD Public Displays

Mitsubishi Electric Australia also announced today that it has increased the warranty period on its range of projectors and LCD public displays from two years to three years.

The warranty increase is effective for all projectors purchased from the 1 September 2010 onwards and for all LCD Public Display purchased from the 1 April 2010.

“As the world leader in display technology, Mitsubishi Electric believes that the extension of the warranty period – provided at no additional costs to our customers – will further strengthen the value of our products in the market” said Stuart Baker, Senior Manager of the Visual Information Systems department at Mitsubishi Electric Australia. “The new warranty provides our customers with a greater advantage when selecting our products for installation projects, and gives end users better piece of mind along with an overall lower cost of ownership”.

The warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Mitsubishi Electric Australia or one of its Authorised Service Providers (ASPs) will repair or replace the defective product under warranty at no cost to the customer. The three year projector warranty does not cover projector lamps, which have a separate 12-month or 500 hour warranty.
