Located at Kangy Angy (Rail Maintenance Depot) on the NSW Central Coast, we are seeking a talented and experienced Reliability Engineer with a background in the Rail industry and/or related sectors.
The Role:
In this role, the successful applicant will be required to analyse train systems data & business systems data to collate root causes and contributing factors to fleet operational delays & penalties. You will be required to conduct reporting on findings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in Rail (or adjacent industry) engineering environment with a high level of engineering knowledge and experience in this sector
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in the maintenance of complex electrical and mechanical systems, the use of PC based fault diagnostic tools, and implementation of reliability programs.
- Ability to analyze system logs to identify root causes of failures, determine whether there are any underlying systematic issues, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations for the design teamAbility to understand basic software configuration, interpret and diagnose digital data logs.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures, engineering change processes, configuration management processes and reliability improvement processes.
- Able to develop and present reliability reports & provide recommendations on improvements.
- Awareness and ability to provide input to a risk management plan that will predict risks that could affect fleet availability and sustainability.
- Ability to investigate incidents to find the source/cause of the incident.
- Proven ability in internal/external customer liaison.
- Ability of basic commercial understanding and cost benefit analysis.
- Ability to work safe, adhere and maintain safe work practices.
