With a combination of excellent sound reproduction and great picture quality, the new XD221U from Mitsubishi Electric makes for the perfect educational projector.
This lightweight XGA DLP™ projector has a built-in 10 watt speaker with two separate 3.5 mm audio inputs and an audio mixer, allowing the projector to simultaneously play audio from two sources, such as a DVD and a third-party wireless microphone. The XD221U’s innovative “Audio Mix” feature allows users to adjust the volume levels of each input independently. Using this feature, a speaker can address the audience without worrying about their voice being drowned out by the audio track of the presentation.
“At Mitsubishi Electric, we are constantly working to increase the user friendliness of our products” said Stuart Baker, National Manager of the Visual Information Systems division, Mitsubishi Electric. “The new Audio Mix feature not only adds to the functionality of this portable projector, but makes it a more effective tool for getting a speaker’s message across during a multimedia presentation.”
With an outstanding 2300 ANSI lumens brightness and 2000:1 contrast ratio, the XD221U also delivers in the visual department, providing clear vivid images even in well-lit rooms. The incorporation of BrilliantColor™ technology coupled with a five segment colour wheel ensures colour reproduction is also rendered accurately.
Total cost of ownership is low due to an extended lamp life of up to 4000 hours and a filter free design means that maintenance downtime is also reduced. A running noise of just 26 dB(A) in low mode helps create a distraction free environment during presentation. The XD221U also includes a built-in RJ-45 port for remote operation and management over a LAN, WAN or the Internet.
Other advantages of the XD221U are its simplified menu operation, top loading lamp design and instant shutdown feature.
