Large screen performance has been redefined with the two latest projectors from Mitsubishi Electric

2009-03-18

The Mitsubishi Electric Australia Visual Information Systems Division, known for its award winning high-quality presentation and display products, continues its contribution to the professional display market with the release of the XD3200U and WD3300U.

These new installation projector models enable users to deliver stellar images in large areas such as conference rooms and lecture halls. The WD3300U’s resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels reproduces widescreen picture content perfectly at a bright 4000 ANSI lumens. The XD3200U takes the image brightness to even greater heights, offering XGA resolution pictures at a stunning 4500 ANSI lumens.

High brightness isn’t the only outstanding feature of these DLP™ projectors - superior colour performance is also realised thanks to the combination of BrilliantColour™ technology, a five segment colour wheel and selective lamp power modulation. Each of these innovative features ensures truer image reproduction from your presentations, with rich and vibrant colours to captivate the audience.

Breakthroughs in projector design have significantly boosted the longevity of these projectors operating lives. A newly designed, enclosed colour wheel system has effectively prevented the accumulation of dust on the colour wheel sensor, resulting in sharper images which are clear of colour bleeding. A new lamp drive system has also been designed which maximises projector brightness for the entire service life of the lamp.

“Our product engineers in Japan know that not only are superb images expected from our projectors, but also durability” said Stuart Baker, Visual information Systems Senior Manager, Mitsubishi Electric Australia. “As a result, they have developed new lamp and colour wheel systems that greatly extend the life of our projectors, giving users better performance over the long run.”

In addition to high standards of picture quality and sturdiness, both projectors have also been designed with user-friendliness in mind. A very quiet operating volume of just 26dBA (in low mode) lets your audience enjoy presentations free of any distraction from the projector. They also offer remote administration and monitoring via a local area network (LAN) allowing you to control the projector through a web browser or receive e-mails if a projector requires maintenance (e.g. when it’s time to replace the lamp). Side access to the lamp bay simplifies the replacement process (e.g. a projector suspended from the ceiling doesn’t need to be removed from its mounting bracket when exchanging the lamp).

A filter free design coupled with a lamp life of up to 4000 hours mean these projectors have a low cost of ownership and reduced maintenance needs, saving the user time and money. Power consumption of less than 1W in standby mode also reduces running costs (while at the same time reducing the projector’s carbon footprint). A password lock and user programmable logo screen provides adequate security measures to discourage theft of the unit.

Both models feature a motorised lens shift function and interchangeable lenses are available so you can change between short throw, long throw, tele-throw and a rear projection short throw fixed lens.
