Models: DD6432UE & DD4432UE
Save the downloaded file (USB_Driver_v110.exe) to your computers hard disk and double click the file to extract its contents. The files will be extracted to the following directory by default C:\USB CD-RW Drive.
Before installing a new driver, please make sure to remove any old versions of the drivers. To do this, click on Start then Run, and type C:\USB CD-RW\SETUP_UNINSTALL.EXE, then click OK. The program will run, select the Uninstall component, then click Next, followed by OK. Restart your computer to finish uninstalling the old drivers.
Note: Be sure to have your CD-RW drive disconnected before following the install procedures below.
Windows XP and 2000
Click on Start then Run, and type C:\USB CD-RW\SETUP_UNINSTALL.EXE, then click OK.
In the Select Components window, select Choose Setup Component (Win2k WinXP) and click Next. Click Finish to complete the install.
Connect your CD-RW drive to the computer and switch the drive on. Windows will detect the drive and automatically load the correct driver. Be sure to restart the computer before using the CD-RW drive.
Windows 98
Click on Start then Run, and type C:\USB CD-RW\SETUP_UNINSTALL.EXE, then click OK.
In the Select Components window, select Choose Update Component (Win98 only) and click Next.
In the Choose Destination Location window, type C:\USB CD-RW Drive in the space provided, then click Next.
At the Update Complete window, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish.
Upon restart, connect your CD-RW drive to the computer. Windows will detect the drive and automatically load the correct driver. Be sure to restart the computer before using the CD-RW drive.
Windows ME
Power up your computer. When the desktop appears, attach your CD-RW drive to the computer. The Add New Hardware Wizard window will appear, stating that Windows has found the following device:
USB Optical Storage Device
Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" and click Next.
In the next window, check the box next to Specify a location, and in the box provided, type in C:\USB CD-RW Drive\WinME, then click Next.
In the following window, click Next again. Windows will now load the necessary files.
Click Finish to complete the installation. . Be sure to restart the computer before using the CD-RW drive.
