The Diamond Data Rewriteable drives have their programs stored in on-board flash memory. The contents of the flash memory can be upgraded. Upgrades are released from time to time to improve the performance of the DVD Rewriters or resolve specific issues.

Please follow the instructions below to update the firmware:
Download the upgrade file for your DVDRW drive to the hard disk and run the file to unzip the contents. The unzipped files will be sent to C:\DVDRW firmware.
Make sure that there is no CD or DVD in the DVD-ROM drive and close the tray.
Open the C:\DVDRW firmware folder and run the RWFlash.exe program found within.
In the RWFlash window, ensure that IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 is listed in the Target Drive cateogry, and that m5a29151.ric is listed in the Source File category. If these two categories are OK, click the Next button, then click Start.
WARNING : Do not turn the PC off until the upgrade has completed. The upgrade will take approximately 30 seconds.
Once the firmware update process is complete, click the Close button, then restart the computer.

5. Once the firmware update process is complete, click the Close button, then restart the computer
