Internal (IDE) Interface models

No additional device drivers are needed in order to use the drives with Windows (except Windows 3.x) and most other PC operating systems.

Click here to download the latest version of the Diamond Data CD-RW (rewriteable CD) drive real-mode device driver. This real-mode driver is needed to access to the drives from MS-DOS or the MS-DOS prompt under Windows 95, 98 and Me.

To install the real-mode driver:

1. Download the self-extracting archive (dia_cdrw.exe) from this page and save it to floppy disk or in a temporary directory.

2. Run the file to extract its contents.

Run the Setup file (Setup.exe) to install the driver. You will need to reboot your system before the drive can be accessed from MS-DOS.
