Download the self-extracting archive for your modem and save it to floppy disk or in a temporary directory
Run the file to extract its contents
Run the Uninstall.exe file included in the extracted files this will remove your current modem drivers. Click OK to restart the computer once the drivers have been removed
On restart, Windows will detect the modem and start the Add New Hardware Wizard. Click Next
Select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) and click Next
Check the Specify a location box, then click Browse. In the Browse for Folder window, navigate to where the drivers were extracted and click OK, then click Next
Click Next to install the driver and then click Finish to install the modem's auxiliary drivers
Windows will now detect the actual modem. Select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) and click Next
Click Next, then Next again
Click Finish to complete the modem installation
Download the self-extracting archive for your modem and save it to floppy disk or in a temporary directory

Open My Computer, and then open the Control Panel folder. Double-click the System icon
In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button.
In the Device Manager window, click the plus symbol next to Modems, then right mouse click on the Diamond Voice 56UE USB Fax Modem icon and select Properties.
At the top of the window, click the Driver tab, then select Update Driver
The Upgrade Device Driver window will appear click Next
Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver, then click Next
Click on the Have Disk button, and then click the Browse button
In the Locate File window, navigate to where the drivers were extracted and click Open, followed by OK.
